December Guest Designer - Melissa Oeters

Good morning and Happy Aloha Friday!!

Did you get a chance to purchase any of the stamps from the Winter 2012 release yet?  If not, head on over to the store before we run out.  Which one is/are your favorite(s)?  I truly do not have a favorite as I love them all, but if you were to ask me which one would I choose to ink up right this minute I'd probably say Bob the Yeti.  He's the kind of character that you can have so much fun with, and he doesn't require a lot of coloring. If you missed seeing the Winter 2012 release post please check it out here.

Can you believe today is the last day of November?  Can anybody tell me where did the time go?  I can barely remember October and November seems like such a blur to me.  Unfortunately as it is the end of the month it is also time to say Mahalo and see ya later to our November Guest Designer, Kathy Dinh of Pixie Boutique.  I would like to take this opportunity to send a big cyber hug to Kathy for helping us out for both October and November guest spots.  Thank you so much Kathy, you were a fantastic inspiration for the past two months and we really appreciated you stepping up for the challenge.  Wishing you all the best and we'll be seeing ya.  Everyone please make sure to stop by Kathy's blog and leave her some love.

December is a time for those of us on the Y&FH team to step back and take a break.  Be with family, finish the Christmas shopping and of course get those holiday projects completed.  As the team is taking a break we needed someone to step in and help us with December and I think we've chosen the right person for the job.  Please help me say a big Aloha to Melissa Oeters of Needful Things

Melissa has been a huge supporter of Yumi & Fumi Handmade from the very beginning and we are very excited to have her join us as our December Guest.   Here is a little bit more about Melissa:
Hi, I'm MelissaO and I'm so excited to be a guest designer for December.  I live in a very rural area of Illinois, population 800,  with my wonderful hubby and our 4 fabulous kids.  I have been into paper arts for many years now, since my oldest was born 18 years ago, and the last couple of years I've become totally crazy about stamping and coloring.  When the kids are in school I can be found in my art room crafting away surrounded by our dogs and chocolate.  My other interests include riding horses, dog rescue, reading and craft supply hoarding!   I hope I can inspire you with my Yumi and Fumi creations!

Speaking of inspiration, here is a fun card Melissa created using Fumi with Messenger bag.  She submitted this card by playing in one of our bi-weekly challenges:

How adorable is this?  Way!!!  I love the contrast in colors with the black accents and those tickets are pretty cool!  The perfect card to slip into a little girl's lunch pail or book bag.  Fumi looks so cute, love her socks!!  Great job Melissa!!  Stop by her blog Needful Things when you get a chance and leave her some love.

For fun, I asked Melissa to fill out our DT Survey.  You can find the her answers in the DT Survey page up top.

Stop back tomorrow when Melissa will be sharing her first official post! Woo Hoo!!  It's super cute!!
