Welcome Team Yumi!

Hello everyone!!

Today is a very exciting day for us at Yumi & Fumi Handmade.  Today being August 1st, I get to share the newest group joining our ohana for the Aug - Jan term.  We are looking forward to the new faces, new inspirations, new team format and new creativity.  You'll probably recognize some if not most of these ladies as they have been on several teams that you might be familiar with.  Before I share here's some news on the new team format:

We have a big enough group of wonderfully talented ladies joining us that we decided to split them into 2 teams.  Can you guess what we're going to call each team?  Now it should be quite easy, you just have to look up at the title post for a hint.  hahaha!  Yep, if you guessed we're splitting up in to Team Yumi & Team Fumi then you are correct!!  Woo Hoo!  Good job!!  It makes sense yea?

Today I'm sharing the players for Team Yumi. Come back tomorrow to see who's playing for Team Fumi.  :)

 Now let's get started!!

CONGRATULATIONS & WELCOME TO THE OHANA...

Please welcome back
Senior Designer, Rosemary Shaner Bridges (2012)
I'm a military brat who now resides in Midlothian, Texas (from Goldsby, Oklahoma) with my wonderful husband and sweet 5-year-old boy. I was introduced to scrapbooking by a friend in 1996, but a few years ago, I switched gears to card-making and 3-D projects. I love creating, whether it be in my craft room or in the kitchen...I love to cook! I'm so honored and blessed to be a part of this amazing team!
Fun fact: I'm a military brat who spent a majority of my younger years in Germany. Even went to University of Maryland in Munich, Germany for 2 years.
Must have Crafty Tool: Sharp Scissors since I fussy cut almost all my images.
My Crafting Style: Symmetrical with ribbon and a bow somewhere.

Welcome to new team members:

Lisa Thompson (2013)
Stamper, scrapbooker, genealogist, married working mom of 2 and foster parent for CMHS animal shelter
Fun fact: The only time I use my sewing machine is when I'm making a card.
Must have crafty tool: My Copics!
My craft style: Clean and simple with an emphasis on color and pattern

Cebelica (2013)
I'm a chatty girl from a tiny European country. I love travelling and meeting new people. Pretty much all of my free time I spend behind my desk crafting, although I also like to watch a good movie every now and then. Or even better, a cartoon - I lost count on how many times I've seen Lilo and Stitch (my absolute favourite cartoon) and Wall-e. What can I say, I'm a big kid. ;) I like learning and trying new things. My "things I must try" list is getting longer and longer. I don't think I have to worry about ever being bored
Fun fact: I LOVE butterflies but moths scare the hell out of me
Must have crafty tool: My Big Shot. I use it ALL the time
My craft style: Goes from cute to vintage, from cards to mini albums, from altered items to jewelry... What can I say, I love trying new things. ;)

Corinne "Rinne" Mercado (2013)
My name is Corinne Reyes Mercado, aka Rinne in Blogland.  I hail from California and am a wifey of five years, a mommy to two little boys, and a registered nurse by day.  When I am not crafting or hanging out with my fam, you can find me on Instagram (@rinnester), at the movies, or eating out
Fun fact: One goal on my bucket list is to swim with whales!  Crazy, I know!  I can barely swim, but I just find whales to be majestic.  And to be able to swim with these giant creatures, I know that it'll be such an amazing experience!!
My must have crafty tool: Paper cutter.
My craft style: I tend to mix lots of patterned paper and layer on embellishments!

Olivia Marmara (2013)
I am a mother of three personality filled girls in NJ and work part-time as an emergency room LCSW social worker. I love making cards, layouts, entering challenges and have been doing it since 2008.
Fun fact: I am a diehard college basketball fan...Go Tarheels fanatic so watch out for my Carolina blue face painting lol.
My must have craft tool:  Rhinestones/pearls. Use them all the time!
My craft style: I'm a lover of bright colors, layers, embellishments, sparkle and patterned papers. Definitely I am not a CAS or Vintage type girl. I love to try new techniques and use various styles of stamps, digital images and die cuts.
