Hello everyone,
When we started this little company we had a simple dream, to create stamps that we love and share them with the crafty world. It is with a heavy heart for us to share that after a year & a half of business we have decided to put Yumi & Fumi Handmade on hiatus until further notice. We know this must come as a complete shock to a lot of you and it's something that we struggled with for quite some time, but circumstances have lead to this decision and the time for us to say "Goodbye" has come.
What does going on hiatus mean for Yumi & Fumi Handmade? We will be closing down the website and challenges until further notice.
Website: If you have been trying to place an order prior to 12pm PST on Sunday we've got it and should be shipping it out this week. If you missed that time we're sorry but it's officially closed. We'll let you know when and if we decide to sell the rest of our inventory and how you can get them, but for now we do not have an answer for you.
Challenges: Challenge #30 (current challenge) will be our LAST challenge. You have until Friday, Jan 31st at 8pm pst to link up, after that we will have no more challenges. To join our current challenge link up here.
Blog: The blog will still be up so that you can enjoy all of the posts and creativity year round. If you would like to share your projects with us upload it to our FB page or Splitcoast Stampers (key word: yumifumi)
We appreciated the hard work, advice and support from all of our parents, friends, families, Design Teams and friends in the business. Your support has been invaluable to us and we made lasting friendships. To the many hours we (Mike, Mr. Jim, Masako, Kat, Jesse, Chuck, Kathy & Jovana) spent prepping & working the Carson Rubber Stamp conventions, drafting for a new release, working on projects or celebrating at the end of a great event, you were all there with us and for that we are thankful.
Our deepest thanks goes out to the ladies and gentlemen who brought life to our images. Thank you to our first team that included Sandie, Rachel, Kim, Eva, Rosemary & Denice, as well as the ladies who have been with us at the end (Blankina, Cebelica, Lisa T, Sheena B, Kathy, Olivia, Corinne, Melissa, Debra, Audrey & Taylor) and also to our guest designers, Thanh Vo, Danni Bindel & Linda Tan and we can't forget to mention our honorary member, Chuck aka Chuckles. Special thanks go out to our fearless team leaders Rosemary & Denice who have stuck with us from the beginning. We love you guys! These very talented crafters made this team so much fun with their warmth, creativity and laughter. Their enthusiasm has always been unbelievably amazing. They kept us smiling all the time so much so that we now have wrinkles because of that. But the good kind. Over the next week, possibly two, we'll be sharing a special Thank You post for each of our teammies and friends who have given us so much love and inspiration.
And last, we'd like to thank our fans. You all have been amazing. We made new friends across the pond and right here in our back yard. We love that you love Yumi & Fumi Handmade and we hope that when you create for a birthday, celebration, blog challenge or just for fun you reach for a Yumi & Fumi Handmade image.
Please don't be sad, we made it a good run and you never know, we might be back and when we do you'll be sure to know that we'll be ready for anything!
Mahalo for being a part of our Yumi & Fumi ohana.
Aloha nui loa,

Hello Yumi & Fumi (Renate&leanne)
ReplyDeleteI just received mail with this 'Goodbye' message. It's always sad to see a 'rubberstamp-shop' go, but totally understandable.
Thank you ladies for all the great challenges and blogfun I had when I discovered your stamps.
Wish you all the best.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Carla
