Mahalo Sandie & Eva!

Good morning everyone,

Today it is with a sad heart that I announce that two of our beautiful friends and fellow teammates, Sandie Dunne & Eva Uyeunten have decided to step down from the team. We're really gonna miss them. Both ladies will always be a part of the Yumi & Fumi ohana. As we say MAHALO and ALOOOOHAAA, never good-bye, I wanted to share some of their beautiful projects that brought life to our images.

Here are projects created by Sandie:

Pretty amazing yea?!  We will definitely miss them and wish them all the best in their next journey.  Please make sure to keep in touch with them by following their blogs as we will definitely be doing the same.

Sandie & Eva,
Mahalo for being here at the beginning of our journey and for giving us an amazing year of gorgeous projects, friendships and love.  We are so very sorry to see you both go, but you know we wish you all the best in everything.  You will always be a part of the Yumi & Fumi ohana.

Take care and Thank you again.  We'll be seeing you in and around blogland!

My Last Post ...

Hi everyone!  It is sad to say but this will be my last post on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog as I will be stepping down from the design team at the end of July.  I've had such a wonderful time and the year I spent on this design team definitely just flew by.  But it's time for me to move on and time for others to join in and share their talents as well.  I am really excited to see the new DT!  Aren't you?

Before I go, I wanted to share one last project.  This was inspired by all those little trinkets I used to see at Claire's.  You know, like matching necklaces or keychains that were made for best friends to share.  You can put them together to complete an image or a best friends forever saying.

I made little notebooks (4x4 inches) featuring the Yumi and Fumi stamp.  Because they are best friends I thought they were perfect for this project.  So you can keep one and give the other to your BFF.  Then when you get together, you can match up your mini notebooks.  I think these would be so cute for pre-teen girls to give their friends.

This is how the two notebooks look apart.  The little alphabets are from CC Designs Mini Alphabet die set.

Thank you so much to Leanne and Renate'!  They are truly a couple of the most generous, kind and thoughtful people I've ever "met" in blogland.

Hope you like this idea and thank you so much for stopping by!

Challenge #18 CONGRATS! Reminder

Happy Sunday!
Happy Father's Day!
Happy Y&FH Hang Loose release day (one day late!)
*****************************
Eva and I have gotten together to remind everyone about the CONGRATS! challenge that is in progress here at Y&FH.

Eva's card using Winter Yumi

Oh my, don't you just love this card!  If the rainbow colored dots don't make you happy, then Yumi's blue eyes and snazzy blue cap definately will!  If you head over to Eva's blog  you can get all of the details on this happy card.

I couldn't resist using the sentiments from the newly released Tiki Surf Set to create a card for someone who just bought a new car. I also think this would be easy to alter for a newly licensed driver with a gas card attached instead of the deodorizer.

Here are just a few small details about this challenge:
CHALLENGE #18 - CONGRATS!
Create a CARD using a congratulatory theme.
June 9 - June 21
Ends: Noon (pst)

Thanks for stopping by Y&FH today!

Aloha and welcome to release day at Yumi & Fumi Handmade!  We hope you've enjoyed the last 5 days of previews of the Hang Loose series and are excited to purchase your very own set of stamps.  They are now live in the store so if you'd like to be the first ones to purchase head on over now!  :)

Today the DT is going to share their beautiful creations and we ask that you stop by each of their blogs and leave them some love.  Just click on each of their names to go directly to their posts.  They all worked really hard to bring to life another set of stamps for your viewing and inspiration and deserve all the compliments they receive.  I'm a huge fan of them all!! :)

Enjoy the showcase!

Rounding out our showcase is Denice with this awesome mixed media journal cover!
She used all of the images except 3 stamps, but it's ok cause well I'll let you decide...

Well there you have it... Wasn't that an awesome way to end the long week of previews?  This team is soo AWEmazing and each time they create something it takes my breath away!  Please make sure you stop by everyone's blog to leave them some love.  They truly deserve it for all their hard work and beautiful imagination.

As our last prize incentive (the WHOLE Hang Loose series) we're asking each of you to:
  1. Become of a follower of our blog (if you're not already),
  2. Leave a comment here and let us know which stamp are you most excited to purchase
  3. Leave a comment on each of the DT's blogs
  4. Add your link below and if we surpass 30 links we'll gift-a-way the whole Hang Loose Release!  That is a value of over $65 worth of stamps.
  5. Share this direct link to this blog post with your friends and family.  The more people who link up the faster we'll get to 30 links.
The collection will close Sunday, June 16th  at 3:00 pm and if we do pass 30 links below a winner will be announced on Monday along with all the other daily winners but only if we reached our daily goal for each day's showcase.  If you're not sure if you linked up or not stop by the Monday post.

Again, if you can't wait then head on over to the store and happy shopping!

Oh behalf of the Y&FH team, Mahalo for stopping by during the week and today.  We hope you'll enjoy your stamps and come back to share them here, on Pinteret or on our Facebook fan page!

Have a Hang Loose kinda weekend!

Sponsoring Card Makin' Mamas Challenge #70

Hey everyone!  This is the 2nd post of the day, please scroll down to see who our Featured Friday crafters are.

Today I'm excited to announce that we're sponsoring Challenge #70 at Card Makin' Mamas!  Woo Hoo!!  Wow, I can't wait til we get that far!  (hehe)
http://cardmakinmamas.blogspot.com/

When Jessica emailed us and asked if we'd like to be a sponsor we were happy to say yes!  I have to give a shout out to the gals at Designed to Color for referring her over to us.  Thanks ladies!!  Muah! ;)

It's a whole new experience for us and we hope that you will head on over there and play.  It's a bi-weekly challenge and the ladies over there are so sweet, nice and super talented!  The challenge theme over there is a pretty simple one, "Rubber."  Use a rubber stamp on your project.  If you're a fan of ours then you know that's all we carry in our shop so if you plan to link up over there the easiest and most practical way would be to use one of our stamps yea?  hahaha!!  Now I'm just tootin' our own horn, but it's the honest truth.  Just to let you know you are welcome to use any image for their challenges but how cool would it be if you used a Yumi & Fumi stamp?  No pressure!  (hehe)

The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to our online store.  Please make sure you follow their rules so you don't miss out on the possible prize.  :)

Eva and I are playing a long with the ladies from CMM and here are our cards featuring Yumi with Book and Yumi & Fumi

Eva with Yumi with Book:

Stop by Eva's blog to see the details of her beautiful card as well as a fun surprise on the inside.  Love that cute apple charm!  Gorgeous job as always Eva!!

Here's my card:

Now how about some of the CMM ladies sharing some Yumi & Fumi love?...
Adina with Yumi:

Totally cute and fun yea?!  Yea!  Head on over to the CMM blog (click HERE) and check out the details.  Tell them we sent ya.

Thanks so much for stopping by again!  Have a great evening and as a reminder stop by tomorrow to see who our winner and top 3 are from challenge #16.

Hugs,
Leanne & Eva

Challenge #16 - Anything But a Card Reminder

Today's post is a reminder about the current Anything But a Card (ABC) challenge that's going on right now and from the looks of the Featured Friday post from two days ago, it appears everyone is getting the hang of this challenge. Sadly, I noticed some are forgetting to enter their projects....you can't win if you don't enter and with a fabulous $15 gift certificate to the Y&FH store as the prize, it is definitely worth remembering!

You have until Friday, 5/24 at noon, pst to ENTER.
Rules and qualifying stamps can be found in the Challenge Info tab.

Eva and I have teamed up to showcase a few more ABC projects with the hopes that they inspire you to create and join us. With that being said, this coming week is the last week of school for Eva's son and she chose to make this thoughtful gift card holder for his teacher using Yumi w/ Bookbag. I think we all agree that Eva should be given an A+ for ADORABLE! You can check out all of the details on her BLOG.

At the end of July I am hosting a local scrapbook retreat and thought it would be fun to decorate each of the tables with a little "something," but with a total of 13 tables to decorate I started to think it might be wise to combine cute with cost effective.  I think this 5.5" x 5.5" rosette with Fumi w/ Turtle is going to be the perfect solution. You can read all the details on my BLOG.

(I can proudly say that not one Hershey's Kiss was harmed during the photography of this rosette!!)

 ***************************
There's more exciting news here at Y&FH! In case you haven't heard, we are in the midst of a DT call which runs until June 1st....all the info you need can be found in the DT Call tab above.  Good luck to all that apply!

Happy Sunday!
