Trick or Treat

Hello!!

It's Kathy here popping in from Team Fumi =) It's finally beginning to feel like fall over here in Cali so I can't wait to welcome the holidays! Today, I have a fun easy share and tutorial with you. It's a treat give away! Yep, let's just fast forward into Halloween where all the treats begin really...LOL.

The materials I used here are an oval punch, top note die cut, sizzix spider embossing die, cuttlebug, some Halloween stickers, removable mono tape, candy, black paper, and ribbons.

First, just cut out a regular card stock size paper and score it at the center to make a fold. You then take the top note die and place the folded card stock with scored edge a lil bit off from the top note plate like below. You can use any spellbinder shape you like and it doesn't have to be the one I used here.

When you are done, it should look like the picture below

Now, you take the spider embossing folder and run the top note card stock you just ran through again this time to be embossed. Once that is done you take the punch and punch it through at the opening end.

So now, run about 3 lines of removable mono to hold your treat in place, I used Big Hunk =)

To finish off the treat give away, I tied it with green and brown ribbons. The front, I used Chasezilla and candy stickers to finish off the cute give away! Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial and on your way to make more yummy treats!!

Thanks and have a great Thursday!

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday!!

Today is day one of Challenge #11 and this time around we have a wonderful sketch created by Kim Yu.

Feel free to flip the sketch or substitute different shapes.  We'd just like to see you incorporate this layout in your project.  For those of you who don't own a Yumi and Fumi Handmade stamp yet you can still play along.  If you have any of the following images from La-La Land Crafts, The Greeting Farm or Sister Stamps you can play.  However if you do happen to use a Yumi and Fumi Handmade image on your project your name will be thrown in to the drawing one more time.  Unsure what qualifies for our challenges?  Visit the Challenge info page by clicking the tab up top.

You have until Friday, March 15th to link up your project.  Remember to use a direct link to your project and not your blog.  Those entries could possibly be deleted.

Now how about some samples from Rosie and myself?

Now what do we have for the winner?  Besides an awesome personalized badge we've come up with this prize package:

Feel free to share this picture with a link back to this post on your blog to let everyone know your playing.

Chasezilla loves hot cocoa

Hey everyone!!

Have you seen the Kigurumi Kids, the newest release from Yumi & Fumi Handmade yet?  If not, click here to see the release that took place while we were in Sacramento.  Yes, they can be used for Halloween, but they can also be used for any occasion.  Take Chasezilla for instance, picture a Sunday morning all he wants to do is watch cartoons in his favorite Godzilla outfit and drink a big cup of hot cocoa with whip cream.  He loves whip cream!

By using non-Halloweeny papers and accents you can create any type of card using our new line of stamps.  For this card I used papers from BG Plumeria and followed a layout used by Lisa McKinney in the new DTC Aug/Sep magazine (Vol 1 Issue 4, page 30).  Loved her CAS layout and thought it would definitely give me a nice backdrop for my card.

With the embossing in the background it also relates to our new bi-weekly challenge.  Here's the inside of the card... Keeping it simple with a fun sentiment stamp by Studio G.

It's seriously not hard to make a non-Halloweeny project with any of the Kigurumi Kids.  If you need inspiration just scroll through our blog and see some cute ideas created by the design team.  They truly are talented.  Don't forget to play along in our EMBOSS IT challenge

Alrighty, time for me to sign off.  Mahalo for stopping by!!  Have a great Thursday!!

Hugs,
Leanne
