Today is my last day here as the Guest Designer for Yumi and Fumi I'm very sad to say goodbye, but I thank Yumi and Fumi for giving me the opportunity to be the guest designer for them.

So for my last post I decided to step outside the box and make a project.

Today I would like to share with you a ornament I made using Yeti Yumi

I bought this card board ornament from Michael's Craft Store for less than $1.00.

Welcome our November Guest Designer - Linda Tan

Good morning everyone!

Today I am excited to welcome our Guest Designer for November:

Linda Tan from Life of a Girlie Girl

Here's a little more about Linda in her own words:

Hi my name is Linda Tan.  I live here in Southern California, and I have to say no matter where I go, I have to say I never picture my home being located anywhere else.   I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, we’ve spent more than half of our lives together, and we’re excited to share many more years together.

I love everything girly, and when I was introduced to all the lovely images out there, I just couldn’t resist and dived right into the arts and crafts world.  Each time I finish coloring a image, it just brings a smile to my face.

Linda will be with us for the month of November sharing every Tuesday, be sure to stop by her blog become a fan and leave her some love.  Check out Linda's adorable tag she created using Yeti Yumi.

Non-traditional colors for this adorable Christmas tag yet it's perfect right? :)  This is just one of many new inspirations Linda will be sharing with us starting on Tuesday, make sure to stop by then.

**Don't forget you still have until Friday to link up for the current color challenge (orange, black, purple & green), all the details are HERE.

Have a terrific crafty day!!

Hugs,

Leanne

Challenge #15 Reminder!

Hello everyone!!  Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday!  I am just stopping by to remind you of our current Challenge #15 -- Shaped Card for Mother's Day.  We want to see a card that's shaped differently from what you would normally make and dedicate it to your mom or any mother figure in your life that you want to recognize.  Mother's Day is coming up fast so it's perfect timing!

Here is Denice's flower shaped card featuring Yumi with Birdie!  I love the colors here and the beautiful bow!  Check out her blog for more details!

Here is my card featuring Yeti Yumi.  Originally, Yeti Yumi is holding a string of Xmas lights but I added a whole bunch of flower shaped rhinestones to represent a lei or maybe a pretty necklace for mom.

The prize is a $15 gift certificate to Yumi & Fumi Handmade's store so you can pick which stamps you'd like!  I think that is a wonderful incentive to get crafting!  Be sure to check out our challenge rules HERE to refresh your memory.  Link up your creation on the original Challenge #15 post by Friday, May 10th, Noon PST.

We hope you'll all join us!  Good Luck!

Let it Snow!

Happy Sunday!!

It's Kathy from Pixie Boutique again!

How was everyone's Thanksgiving weekend? Lots of food and things to be grateful for I hope along with the fun Black Friday and Small Saturday Business madness!

I have a card to share as a guest for November. The card is measured at 5x5 showcasing two of the new images from the Winter series, Yeti Yumi and Yeti Fumi.  These two will be available in the online store on Monday, 11/26/12.  =)

The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart edge punch. The snow is embossed and cut free hand =D  I also used stickles to embellish the lights and Fumi's puffy balls from her hood strings. Lastly, I added a sheer white ribbon knot to finish it off.  Which reminds me that if you haven't submitted your card for the ribbon contest already you still have some time ;)  Click here for all the details.

Here is the sentiment inside the card that I used from stamp workz "kisses" set!

A reminder you have until 11:59 pm PST tonight to take advantage of  $5 off your purchase in support of Small Business weekend.  Use code YFSMBIZ5 at checkout.
The code is good for a one time use per guest starting Saturday, 11/24/12 (12:01am PST) and ending Sunday, 11/25/12 (11:59pm PST)

Holiday Cards with Yeti & the Girls

Hello!  It's Eva here today.  Hope everyone enjoyed the awesome preview of Yumi & Fumi's Winter Release!  You can check out that post HERE if you missed the girls and their new friends.  We had some wonderful guests and I loved the cards that they all created.

I have some holiday cards to share with the soon to be released Yeti, Yeti Fumi & Yeti Yumi.  I wanted each stamp to be showcased on their own but also wanted them to look like a set.  This is what I came up with.

They all have the same background paper, fence die cut (from CC Designs) and a meadow die cut (from PTI).  I used the same color theme for all 3 as well.  So these actually came together pretty quickly once I decided the layout and colors.  These could easily be boxed together to give away as a gift too.

Here is Yeti Yumi on her own.  The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm.  I added some fun lights on the top of the card as well.

Here is big, huggable Yeti with the same sentiment.

Lastly, we have Yeti Fumi with the same sentiment and lights too.  These girls and their friends are so fun to color.  I'm always amazed at how alive these girls look once they're colored.

The Winter Release will be available November 26th in the Yumi & Fumi Handmade store!  Please also check out our current challenge HERE.  There is a prize and you could get your own personalized Top 3 badge!!  I love the cute badges!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
