Challenge #30~SKETCH #5 by Leanne!

Happy Sunday everyone! How's the new year been treating you? We've been busy behind the scenes coming up with some awesome new challenges and sketches to get you inspired this year. We hope you play along with us and enjoy the fun we have planned for you all! Our fearless leaders Renate and Leanne scoped out the big Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Convention last week and boy oh boy did they find lots of great things! Today starts a new challenge and for the next two weeks we have this awesome Sketch by Leanne to inspire us!!

Now remember, before linking your card please read our new challenge guidelines by clicking HERE. Don't forget that we now allow ANY stamped image!!! You HAVE to use a hand-colored image on your project...no "sentiment only" cards allowed. However, if you use a Y&FH image your name will be added a maximum of 1 extra time after the last name in Inlinkz. Remember also....only 1 entry per person.

Yeti Fumi

It's my last Tuesday as a guest designer at Yumi & Fumi Handmade. I want to thank them for having me as a guest--it's been very fun!

This week I inked up Yeti Fumi. I know it's after Christmas but I've never been one to be on time with holiday cards! LOL!

I kept this card super simple so it would mail easy. She's colored with copics with some sponging around the edges and then I used more scraps that I found in my stash. Some sponging, a border punch for accents and some touches of sparkle with a copic glitter pen finish the card.

Morning Everyone!

It's Kathy from Team Fumi popping in today.  Did everyone get a head start on those Christmas cards and projects yet?! I sure haven't and barely getting started so if you are a procrastinator like me...Here is something to inspire you to kick off the fun holiday festivities. I made a wine tag using Yeti Fumi! It makes a nice touch if you plan to give it away or just as decor for home. I used a circle spellbinder to cut the ring on top as the punches won't reach that far in.  I also used a 5 petal flower punch to create a poinsettia and finished it off with gems and pearls. The sentiment is written with red pen and traced over with pink glitter gel pen. Hope this was fun for you and get your juices going for the Holiday Season!

Here is a closer glimpse at the hole I cut out to hang over the wine bottle. I punched out a scallop first on the DP and the glue it onto the white than blue base. I than took a circle spellbinder to cut in the center of the scallop shape.

Some news!

Morning everyone!

Hope you're all getting your projects together for our current color challenge.  Now most of you might think that the colors in our challenge are for Halloween and you might not want to play, but guess what?  You can use those colors to make non-Halloween cards.  If you scroll down to Sunday's post you'll see a few from Team Yumi doing just that.  Of course you'll also see some Halloween themed projects as well.  Wanted to give you an option other than Halloween for those colors.  Here's my example featuring Yeti Fumi...

Holiday Cheer with Yeti Fumi

I couldn't help adding in the blue, it was part of the papers I found that had a combination of black, purple and green.  I left the orange very minimal, but it still gives a nice bright touch to my holiday card. I hope I was able to give you an alternative idea for our challenge in case you don't want to create a Halloween themed card.  When you're done with it upload it here, remember to follow the rules else your project might not make the cut.

Challenge #10 - Case Sandie!

How was everyone's Thanksgiving weekend? Lots of food and things to be grateful for I hope along with the fun Black Friday and Small Saturday Business madness!

I have a card to share as a guest for November. The card is measured at 5x5 showcasing two of the new images from the Winter series, Yeti Yumi and Yeti Fumi.  These two will be available in the online store on Monday, 11/26/12.  =) 

The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart edge punch. The snow is embossed and cut free hand =D  I also used stickles to embellish the lights and Fumi's puffy balls from her hood strings. Lastly, I added a sheer white ribbon knot to finish it off.  Which reminds me that if you haven't submitted your card for the ribbon contest already you still have some time ;)  Click here for all the details.

Holiday Cards with Yeti & the Girls

Hello!  It's Eva here today.  Hope everyone enjoyed the awesome preview of Yumi & Fumi's Winter Release!  You can check out that post HERE if you missed the girls and their new friends.  We had some wonderful guests and I loved the cards that they all created.

I have some holiday cards to share with the soon to be released Yeti, Yeti Fumi & Yeti Yumi.  I wanted each stamp to be showcased on their own but also wanted them to look like a set.  This is what I came up with.

They all have the same background paper, fence die cut (from CC Designs) and a meadow die cut (from PTI).  I used the same color theme for all 3 as well.  So these actually came together pretty quickly once I decided the layout and colors.  These could easily be boxed together to give away as a gift too.

Here is Yeti Yumi on her own.  The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm.  I added some fun lights on the top of the card as well.

Here is big, huggable Yeti with the same sentiment.

Lastly, we have Yeti Fumi with the same sentiment and lights too.  These girls and their friends are so fun to color.  I'm always amazed at how alive these girls look once they're colored.
